Downeast Designs History
I began programming for the web in 1995 when I bought my first Windows based computer. Although I didn't promote myself as Downeast Designs just yet, I was already making money as a website developer.
For the next couple of years I continued developing skills and began to build a reputation for myself as a professional website developer in the Southern Maine region. Eventually I was hired by the Local Internet Service Provider to assist with service calls, fixing computers, and finally to build websites for their growing customer base.
I ended up leaving the ISP to pursue a career under my own name. I played around with a few company name ideas until around 1998 when I finally came up with Downeast Design. I registered DowneastDesign.com and DowneastDesigns.com and have been building websites on my own ever since.
